We meet on the first Saturday of the month at Walthew House click here for meeting information and the committee will be on hand to answer any questions.
Try before you buy.If you would like to attend one of our meetings to see if you like us, we would love to meet you. You can visit three times before you need to become a member at a cost of £4 each visit.
Just want to become a member?
If you would like to become an official member of the Cale Green WI, you will need to fill out a membership form (which we will provide on the night) and your fee (please see below).
If you already belong to another WI and want to become a dual member, your fee will be £20.

2018 subscription details
WI subscription and dual fees are paid directly to the WI/s you wish to join they have increased by £2.00 from £39 to £41
- AWAITING CONFIRMATION OF 2018 BREAKDOWN - in 2017 £19 of the subscription is kept by your WI, £8.80 will go to your federation and £11.20 will go to the NFWI
- New members joining the WI for the first time, i.e. who have not previously been a member of any WI in the past 10 years, will pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join.
- WI members can belong to more than one WI, by paying the full membership fee to the first WI, and a further £20 to any additional WIs at any time of the year. There is no pro-rata rate for dual membership
- The WI subscription year runs from January to December.
- Each WI holds a minimum of eleven meetings each year and all members can contribute ideas to the annual programme of speakers, activities and events
- WI Members will receive eight copies per year of the WI membership magazine, WI Life and be able to access resources and information on the website and the WI Moodle. WIs are also kept up to date with news by regular mailings from the NFWI
- Federations also keep members informed about the wide variety of activities they offer to members regionally

About Women's Institutes
The Women's Institute (WI) was formed in 1915 to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War. Since then the organisation's aims have broadened and the WI is now the largest voluntary women's organisation in the UK. The WI will celebrate its centenary in 2015 and currently has 212,000 members in over 6,300 WIs.The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
