Success: Our First stall

What a brilliant day
Handmade with love

The weather was very kind. There were lots of visitors, the ice-cream man never stopped (always a good sign), and the hog roast was eaten up quite early on. The place was buzzing.

The Moonlight trio band had me in stitches...... I do love a dry sense of  humour. Their music was excellent too.

There was also our bee running around the event (only kidding), nothing to do with us, but you'd be surprised just how many people thought we were responsible for it). So thank you Cale Green Park Residents Association for promoting us ;o)

It was an early start for many. All the preparations, planning and hard work paid off as everything came together like a dream.

The stalls stock en route, next stop pick up the gazebo

The most beautiful thing I saw on our stall was a typed list of everything we were selling, so we know what our best sellers are for next time.

For someone with OCD, this list was a thing of beauty.

The event hadn't opened...... but people were already having a nosey.

Volunteers on the day

Your help and assistance was so effortless and heartwarming.

There was a rota, but no-one really kept to it we were having so much fun everyone stayed much longer to help promote our group and help out.

Our stall looked FANTASTIC

We met a lot of lovely women who didn't know we existed.

Many were genuinely interested in joining us. It would be lovely if they did :o)

loved that we were so busy
Our stall in full swing
promo for us and future events

most of the contents of this table were gone by the end of the day

come and have a look at our ware my lovelies
We made just under £200 on the day (minus the stall hire of £30) so a very healthy £170 - not bad for a first attempt.

Your Committee loves you

Smalls 4 All Appeal

Ladies you are flippin' awesome!

This has brought a tear to my eye this morning. Thank you bringing light into my week. I love the idea that a group of women in this country can get together to bless those less fortunate than ourselves on the other side of the world.

Thank you soooooooo much xx

We Need Your Many Talents for the Cale Green WI Stall

Cale Green WI craft stall will be hosting at the friends of Cale Green park summer event this year.

WHEN
Sunday 26th June 2016
13.00 -16.30
Cale Green Park

MAKE AND DONATE
We would love to be as diverse as possible but at the moment we have no idea how much talent we have in our group. This list is by no means exhaustive but will hopefully gives us a starting point.

We would love it if you would make and donate some handmade craft items that we can sell on the stall to raise funds for the group. We have come up with some categories of ‘safe’ things we can sell to give you some ideas.

Accessories (purses, hairbands, jewellery, hats, scarves, bags etc)
Woollen items (hats, scarves, gloves, small blankets, booties, twiddlemuffs etc)
Greeting cards
Fabric items (lavender bags etc)
Small artwork
Sundries  (soaps, candles, plants etc)

EDIBLES
We don’t have a final decision on edibles as this needs further discussion re health and safety but we will confirm asap.

WHAT IF WE HAVE TOO MUCH
We will keep everything we have for future occasions or use some for raffle prizes.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY DONATIONS
Please bring your donations to the May and June meetings so that we can take stock and plan for the event. We will need lots of help on the day and sign up sheets will be available at the May meeting.
Thank you so much

ON THE DAY
We need to borrow:-
* a Gazebo
* Trestle table (or table to be the actual stall)
* Chairs for people on the stall

We need volunteers
* Six people to help set up
* Eight people on a rota to man the stall
* Six people to set down.

You can volunteer for more than 1 thing if you are happy to be there for the duration.

Lisa Walsh will have sign up sheets at the next meeting.
